Milena Canonero an Oscar that makes italians proud of their origin

IT: Un Oscar che non passa inosservato quello a Milena Canonero. Un Oscar alla creatività, al talento e alla classe della famosa costumista italiana. Milena, nata a Torino, ha compiuto gli studi di storia e arte del costume a Genova per poi trasferirsi a Londra dove incontra Stanley Kubrick che in seguito le offre il primo lavoro per il grande schermo: costumista per Arancia Meccanica (1971).

EN: An Oscar for creativity, talent and class of the famous italian costume designer, an Oscar that makes italians proud of their origin. Milena was born in Turin, she studied art history and costume in Genoa and then moved to London where she met Stanley Kubrick who later offered her the first work on the big screen: costume designer for A Clockwork Orange (1971).

IT: Il primo Oscar arriva nel 1976 per Barry Lyndon (regia di Stanley Kubrick), a seguire 1982 (Momenti di gloria, regia di Hugh Hudson), 2007 (Marie Antoinette, regia di Sofia Coppola), e 2015 miglior costumi per Grand Budapest Hotel, regia di Wes Anderson. Quattro Oscar, nove nomination e innumerevoli riconoscimenti per un talento tutto italiano, per una grande donna che intervistata qualche giorno prima degli Oscar si é scusata con l’intervistatore dichiarando di essere timida. #MilenaCanonero #proudofyou
