I was 21 and it was the summer of 2012, when I had the idea to create a website as a container of ideas, insights, news, fashion, tips, interviews and of course “typical” content of a blog. With a base note: to always keep a focus on the main subjects such as BonTon, City tips, in&out, home deco, etc.

I spent a few months reflecting and drawing up a timetable of content then decided to launch it online. The 1st of December 2012 Lifestyle & Chilling was officially born.

In recent years my work within the blog was affected by the path of life and of the challenges that I have faced in this period: a degree in Business Administration (at the ‘University of Genova’) in October 2013, the move to Munich to study and work until the summer of 2014 (for a German Start-up as Social Media Specialist), the translocation to work in Reggio Emilia (for Max Mara as Junior online store manager) from 1st September 2014 and finally the move for my most recent adventure in Basel from April 2015 (in MSC Cruises as Web and Social Media Coordinator).

Despite these stages of my life have been challenging, I have always tried to keep Lifestyle & Chilling alive and running. It was destiny that the jobs I had done from my Degree onwords had to do with the web: website publication management, e-commerce, Iblog, newsletters, online marketing planning, web and social media coordination. I was very lucky to be able to draw from a “hobby” (fun but challenging) the necessary experience to use in my work.

It is absolutely a must to thank not only those who believed in this project, but also those who collaborated from within Lifestyle & Chilling: first of all Carlotta Frisione Tassara who shared with me from the beginning the path of this website. Articles on Beauty during the entire first period and her later inception to write and collaborate on other topics. Her collaboration is precious and, especially in the beginning, she helped me giving it a kick from the start. It was also important the contribution of Federico Bobbio who “built/engineered” the blog and has provided critical support as a web designer. Thanks also to Irene Bossi for her logistical support and for her important contribution.

Soon Virginia Calissano will also be part of Lifestyle and Chilling’s Team. She is a friend as well as a good and prepared journalist, who agreed to cooperate with us, we all look forward to work along her. I would also like to thank my boyfriend Federico Scolari who believe in me everyday

Avevo 21 anni, era l’estate del 2012, quando ebbi l’idea di un sito web che fosse un contenitore di idee, spunti, novità, notizie, fashion, tips, interviste e naturalmente anche dei contenuti “tipici” di un blog. Con una nota di fondo: l’attenzione al fatto che una parte dei contenuti sopravvivesse alle mode rimanendo attuali come ad esempio gli articoli sul “Bon Ton“, i “Cities Tips“, “In&Out, “Home Decor“, etc.

Passai qualche mese a riflettere e ad elaborare un calendario di contenuti poi decisi di partire. Il 1° dicembre 2012 nasce ufficialmente Lifestyle & Chilling. In questi anni il mio lavoro nel blog ha risentito del mio percorso di vita e degli impegni che ho affrontato in tutto questo periodo: la laurea in Economia Aziendale (all’ Università di Genova) nell’ottobre 2013, il mio trasferimento a Monaco di Baviera per studio e per lavoro fino all’estate 2014, il mio trasferimento per lavoro a Reggio Emilia (Max Mara) dal 1° settembre 2014 e infine il mio ultimo trasferimento per lavoro a Basilea da aprile 2015 (MSC). Malgrado queste tappe della mia vita siano state impegnative, ho sempre cercato di mantenere vitale Lifestyle & Chilling. Era destino che il lavoro che ho svolto dalla Laurea in poi avesse a che fare col web: website publication management, l’e-commerce, i blog, le newsletter, l’online marketing planning, web and social media coordination. Ritengo sia stata una grande fortuna essere riuscita a trarre da un “hobby” (divertente ma impegnativo) esperienza da utilizzare nel mio lavoro.

E’ assolutamente doveroso ringraziare non solo chi ha creduto in questo progetto ma anche chi ha collaborato e collabora a Lifestyle & Chilling: in primis Carlotta Frisione Tassara che ha condiviso sin dall’inizio il percorso di questo sito web. Gli articoli sul Beauty di tutto il primo periodo sono suoi e successivamente ha cominciato a scrivere e collaborare anche su altri argomenti. La sua collaborazione è preziosa e, soprattutto all’inizio, è stata la spinta per cominciare. Fondamentale anche l’apporto di Federico Bobbio che ha “costruito” il blog ed ha fornito un supporto fondamentale come web designer. Grazie a Irene Bossi per il supporto logistico e per il suo importante apporto. Presto comincerà Virginia Calissano, un’amica oltre che brava e preparata giornalista, che ha accettato di collaborare con noi. Grazie anche al mio ragazzo Federico Scolari che crede in me ogni giorno.

The reading of my three years old “about” makes me smile and think about the road so far. I remember like it was yesterday the day of the official launch of Lifestyle & Chilling on the social platforms. In all these years Fabiola has shown an incredible perseverance and determination, and the site has been filled with accurate, various and colorful posts and articles. My “about” has changed of age, well now I am twenty-seven years old, it has changed profession (from University student to employee in a Freight forwarder firm here in Genoa). Having to organize work with all the activities, you should always optimize time and dedication to the site. But Lifestyle & Chilling is not just a blog or a magazine, it is also a colorful moment of sharing with all the people who gravitate and collaborate in it. This is my “about”: work, my daily and personal activities intertwined with moments dedicated to the post, to photos, to “meeting” to discuss how to improve and update the site. A huge thanks goes (of course!!) to Fabiola for this opportunity (this has remained intact since my last about!), As well as Irene  Bossi and Federico Bobbio for the great contribution and support.

Leggendo l’about di ben tre anni fa, viene spontaneo sorridere e pensare a quanta strada sia stata percorsa. Ricordo come se fosse ieri il giorno del lancio ufficiale sulle piattaforme social di Lifestyle & Chilling. In questi anni Fabiola ha dimostrato una caparbietà incredibile, e il sito ha preso una strada tutta sua fatta di post accurati, mai banali e soprattutto vivaci. Il mio “about” cambia di età, ebbene si ora gli anni sono ventisette, cambia da professione -studente- a -lavoratore- presso un’azienda di spedizionieri doganali qui a Genova. Dovendo organizzare e combinare lavoro con tutte le attività extralavorative, il tempo e la dedizione verso il sito si devono sempre ottimizzare. Ma Lifestyle & Chilling non è solo un blog, una rivista, è anche un momento colorato di condivisione con tutte le persone che gravitano e collaborano in esso. Questo è il mio “about”: il lavoro, il mio quotidiano e le attività personali che s’intrecciano con i momenti dedicati ai post, alle foto, ai “meeting” per discutere su come migliorare e aggiornare il sito. Un doveroso grazie va ovviamente a Fabiola per questa opportunità (questo è rimasto intatto dallo scorso about!) così come a Irene Bossi e Federico Bobbio per il grande apporto e supporto
