Bon ton: “Engagement ring” ♡♡ “Anello di fidanzamento”

ENGAGEMENT RING:

I didn’t yet received an engagement ring but I know that it is the dream of many girls!

The engagement ring classic is called “solitaire” . An important thing is that it should be worn on the left ring! This came from the tradition which speaks of  the Egyptians that passed the belief on to the Greeks when they were conquered by Alexander. They too believed it held a vein connected to the heart and called it Vena, excluding the thumb.. one time you’ re married the official ring finger could be worn on the right ring, cause on the left one you should worn The Eternity ring. (Of course nothing prevents to wear in the left hand both). 

You should always worn the engagement ring without any other rings save The Eternity ring on the same finger.

L’ANELLO DI FIDANZAMENTO

Non ho ancora ricevuto un anello di fidanzamento ma so che è il sogno di tante di noi. L’anello di fidanzamento più classico è il solitario. La cosa importante è che sia indossato all’anulare sinistro. Questo deriva dalla tradizione che dice che dall’anulare sinistro passi la vena che collega al cuore. Una volta sposate l’anello di fidanzamento può essere indossato all’anulare destro, perché all’anulare sinistro viene indossata la fede. (Nulla vieta di indossare nella mano sinistra entrambi).

L’anello di fidanzamento andrebbe sempre indossato senza altri anelli eccetto la veretta o la fede sullo stesso dito.

TIPI DI ANELLI:

C’ è chi ama usare la “chevalière” sul mignolo della mano destra. L’incisione dello stemma e della corona rappresentano il titolo e la casata, quindi sono, o piuttosto erano simbolo di nobiltà. Chi ama questo tipo di anello da usare sul mignolo può farsi incidere ad esempio le iniziali.

Audrey Hepburn on “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” always said,  never a “solitaire” (diamond ring) before you are 40 .. but if it’s an engagement ring I’d always wear it..also if I’m 20 !

During the gala night let’s wear jewelry in white gold or platinum. In this case the Eternity of brilliant or also record of brilliant on the left ring finger can replace The Eternity double yellow gold!

Audrey Hepburn in Colazione da Tiffany diceva mai un “solitaire” (anello con brillante) prima dei quarant’anni ma se è l’anello di fidanzamento lo userei sempre…anche a venti!

Nelle serate importanti indossare gioielli in oro bianco o platino. In questo caso la veretta di brillanti o la fedina di brillanti all’ anulare sinistro possono sostituire la vera matrimoniale in oro giallo.

HANDS AND RINGS
The rings should be chosen depending  on the hands’ shape.
For example if you have big hands and above all chubby fingers, let’s wear large rings but don’t be exaggerate with it.. whiskers or small Eternity are perfect on tapering fingers while they could make it look like sausages big fingers, although proportionate!
For what concern how many rings wearing I don’t belong to the “abounding is better” team
I think that just a ring, especially if it’s worth and important it could be enough!
However I would never use more than one for hand..and above all I d never wear more than one ring in the same finger, unless their design do not suggest!

MANI E ANELLI
Gli anelli andrebbero sempre scelti in base alla forma delle mani e delle dita. Quindi se avete mani grandi ma soprattutto dita un pò cicciottelle indossate tranquillamente anelli grandi, ma non eccessivi. Le fedine o le piccole verette donano moltissimo su dita affusolate mentre rischiano di far sembrare salsicciotti le dita grosse, anche se proporzionate. Quanto al numero degli anelli io non appartengo alla scuola di pensiero del “meglio abbondare”. Penso che un solo anello, soprattutto se è vero e importante basti e avanzi. Comunque sia non userei più di un anello per mano e soprattutto non metterei più anelli sullo stesso dito, a meno che il loro design non lo suggerisca.

The hands talk about us more than we can imagine!
We can decide to wear colour enamel and for sure they will give a smarter outfit..but PAY ATTENTION! Never use enamels that could sound bad with our look! For example a fluo, an orange or a simple red enamel aren’t suitable with a purple outfit! After that manicured hands can complete a seductive allure.

Le mani parlano di noi più di quanto possiamo immaginare.
Possiamo decidere di usare smalti colorati e sicuramente daranno un tocco in più al nostro outfit, ma stiamo attente a non usare smalti che fanno a pugni col nostro look. Di certo uno smalto fluo arancione o un semplice smalto rosso stonano con un abbigliamento giocato ad esempio sui colori del viola. Detto questo delle belle mani curate completano un allure seducente.

Lots of women love decorate nails and adore the nail painting.  I don’t like so much this “art” but that’s my opinion, what I really think on the hands is that they have to be manicured!
It s better don’t wear enamel that wearing it in a bad way (enamel damaged). When we are going to wear sandals it’s always better pay attention that your enamel on your toenails is the same of what are you wearing on your fingernails!

Molte amano decorare le unghie e adorano il nail painting. Personalmente non amo moltissimo quest’ “arte” ma quello che ritengo fondamentale nelle mani è che siano curate. Meglio niente smalto che smalto rovinato! Quando usiamo i sandali stiamo attente che lo smalto sulle unghie dei piedi sia in tono con quello delle mani, al limite i piedi colorati e le mani con una tinta neutra!

We also have to take care of our feet during the winter! It’s so sexy a foot well cared when you take off a décolleté, maybe cuddling your boyfriend while watching the tv!

 Curiamo però i nostri piedi anche d’inverno! E’ così sexy un piede curato quando si tolgono le décolleté, magari per accocolarsi vicino al fidanzato a guardare la televisione!

Il bon ton delle giacche da uomo//Suit jacket buttoning rules

In  inglese li definirebbero “ suit jacket buttoning rules”, a me piacerebbe definire questi suggerimenti come “consigli per vestire al meglio la giacca da uomo”.

Premesso che rispettare l’etichetta dell’abbottonatura della giacca non è una garanzia di eleganza poiché ritengo che i requisiti minimi siano indossare una giacca adeguata alla stagione, della taglia giusta, di buona qualità, non stropicciata e adeguatamene abbinata alla camicia, penso che un uomo elegante e sicuro di sé debba sapere le piccole regole che vi indichiamo.

Ovviamente una giacca sportiva, soprattutto in estate, può derogare alla stretta tradizione di eleganza: può essere “un po’” stropicciata (soprattutto se di lino), può anche non essere abbinata ad una camicia ma ad una tshirt di buona fattura, non eccessivamente larga né aderente e coerente col colore della giacca (quanti puristi della giacca/camicia mi mangeranno la faccia) . Di sicuro meglio una tshirt che una camicia con le maniche corte sotto alla giacca (orrore).

Le tendenze per la prossima Primavera-estate 2015 (da Pitti uomo in corso in questi giorni) sono per uno stile formale e linee pulite. Vi è un ritorno al classico unito a dettagli all’avanguardia come i tagli al laser.

 

Ovviamente le giacche sportive si abbottonano seguendo gli stessi consigli delle giacche tradizionali ma lo stile informale consente di essere meno aderenti all’etichetta dell’eleganza maschile.

devono essere sempre abbottonate quando si sta in piedi, mentre da seduti possono essere sbottonate. Secondo me lo smoking va sempre sbottonato quando si è seduti.

Quando si è seduti si può sbottonare tutto.

il bottone centrale va sempre tenuto allacciato quando si sta in piedi mentre quello in alto è facoltativo e quello in basso va tenuto aperto.
